The record breaking slides
- Leap of Faith: a near vertical nine storey drop through a clear tunnel that passes through a shark filled lagoon. The free fall lasts just over a second and it is one of the most famous slides in Dubai.
- Odyssey of Terror: one of the tallest slides in the park, with transparent sections and a steep, fast descent for groups on a tube.
- Poseidon’s Revenge: step into a capsule, the floor drops away, and you plunge down a near vertical slide at high speed.
- Aquaconda: one of the largest waterslides in the world, sending you through twisting tunnels on a shared tube.
- Slitherine: a six lane racing slide where you race head first alongside friends and family.
Rivers, waves and the private beach
Beyond the slides, Aquaventure is built for a full day. The Rapids is a 1.6 kilometre river ride, the longest in the region, running through waves and waterfalls. The Lazy River offers a calm float through tropical landscaping for anyone who wants to slow down. The Torrent wave pool recreates ocean surf, and Surf’s Up lets you try a wave simulator. Aquaventure Beach is a 700 metre stretch of private white sand with views of the Arabian Gulf, ideal for relaxing between rides.
Family and kids
Younger guests have their own zones. Splashers is a colourful water play area with gentle slides, water cannons and a giant tipping bucket, with shallow water and padded surfaces. Splashers Cove steps it up for older children with longer slides, rope bridges and interactive play structures. Both towers, the Tower of Neptune and the Tower of Poseidon, also hold gentler family slides alongside the extreme ones.
Marine encounters
Aquaventure is also home to marine life. The Ambassador Lagoon holds 11 million litres of water with sharks, rays and tropical fish behind huge viewing windows. Add on experiences such as the Shark Safari, where you walk the lagoon floor in a diving helmet, the Ray Feeding station and guided snorkelling are available to book on the day.
Opening hours and best time to visit
Aquaventure is open every day of the year, usually from about 10:00 AM to sunset, roughly 6:00 PM. Hours extend in the cooler peak season and close a little earlier in the hottest summer months, so we confirm your timing at booking. The best months are November to April, and weekday mornings are the quietest. Most guests spend four to five hours in the park, and arriving at opening lets you enjoy the big slides before the queues build.
