Why the Museum of the Future is closed right now
In July 2026 the museum announced it would temporarily close from mid-September 2026 for its most significant exhibition overhaul since opening in February 2022. Every major gallery — including the space-station journey, the healing/sustainability institute and the wellbeing sanctuary — is being replaced. Unlike a traditional museum, it was designed to reinvent its exhibitions over time, and this is the first full refresh.

The museum is expected to reopen in the first quarter of 2027, coinciding with its fifth anniversary. The new visitor journey will feature an entirely new set of immersive, interactive experiences, shaped in part by more than 1,000 public contributors from around the world, exploring the opportunities and challenges of the decades ahead. Exact reopening dates and new ticket prices will be announced closer to the launch.

Where is the Museum of the Future?
The museum is on Sheikh Zayed Road, Financial District (Trade Centre 2), Dubai, next to Emirates Towers and the Dubai International Financial Centre. It’s directly served by the Emirates Towers metro station on the Red Line — handy to plan for your 2027 visit.
