Prime Hours or Non Prime Hours
Ticket prices change with the time of your visit.
Non Prime Hours are the best value and cover the mornings and later evenings. Mornings give clear daylight views that are ideal for photography, and late evening slots are quieter with the city fully lit.
- At the Top, floors 124 and 125: 8:00 AM to 3:30 PM, and 7:30 PM to 11:00 PM
- At the Top SKY, floor 148: 7:00 PM to 10:00 PM, final entry 9:00 PM
Prime Hours cover the most popular times, including sunset, when Dubai turns from a sunlit city into a sea of lights. These slots cost more and sell out first.
- At the Top, floors 124 and 125: around 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM
- At the Top SKY, floor 148: 12:00 PM to 6:00 PM
At the Top decks are open daily from about 8:00 AM to midnight, and At the Top SKY from about 12:00 PM to 10:00 PM. Exact slots shift with the season and the sunset time, so we confirm your time at booking. If a sunset visit matters to you, book a Prime Hours slot early, especially in winter.
What to expect
Your visit starts with one of the world’s fastest elevators, rising at up to 10 metres per second and reaching the observation decks in about 60 seconds. At the top you step onto indoor and outdoor terraces with floor to ceiling glass, high powered telescopes and augmented reality displays that name the landmarks in front of you.
From the decks you can pick out the Palm Jumeirah, Dubai Marina, Dubai Creek, the Burj Al Arab, the Dubai Frame, Sheikh Zayed Road and the Arabian desert beyond the city. In the evening you also look down on the Dubai Fountain, the world’s largest fountain system, which performs every 30 minutes from 6:00 PM to 11:00 PM in the lake below.
Best time to visit
The cooler months from November to March give the clearest views and the most comfortable outdoor terrace, and this is also the busiest season, so book ahead. Sunset slots are the most rewarding for photos and special occasions. For fewer crowds and lower prices, choose a weekday morning or a late evening Non Prime slot.
How long to plan and what to wear
Plan for about 1.5 to 2 hours in total, including security screening, the elevator and time on the decks. The decks are air conditioned, but the outdoor terrace can feel cooler at height, so bring a light jacket in winter. Comfortable shoes, sunglasses for daytime visits and a camera are all worth having. Smart casual clothing is best, and beachwear is discouraged.
How to reach the Burj Khalifa
The Burj Khalifa is in Downtown Dubai and is easy to reach:
- Dubai Metro: Red Line to Burj Khalifa or Dubai Mall station
- Taxi or ride hailing: available across Dubai
- Car: parking at Dubai Mall, which connects directly to the tower
